Frequently asked questions
How do I know how much each pallet covers?
Read the spec sheet from your supplier or the listing detail on Premier. Typical values: flat pavers 100–150 sq ft/pallet, wall veneer 15–35 face sq ft/pallet, boulders 1–3 tons/pallet, bulk landscape stone 1.5–2 tons per super sack.
Should I allow partial pallets?
Only if the supplier explicitly allows it. Natural stone is banded and shrink-wrapped for freight safety; broken pallets often carry a repack fee or are simply not offered. Rounding up to a full pallet is the safe default.
How much waste should I include?
5–10% for rectangular products, 10–15% for random / irregular products, 15%+ for pattern-heavy or ashlar layouts. When freight is expensive, err on the higher side — a second freight run costs more than one extra pallet.
What weight assumption should I use per pallet?
Manufactured pavers: ~3,000–3,500 lbs/pallet. Natural flagstone: ~3,000–4,000 lbs/pallet. Wall veneer: ~2,500–3,000 lbs/pallet. Bulk boulders vary widely — weigh individually when possible.
